Social media is full of DIY beauty tips and videos.

But we doubt anyone will (or should) be following the example of this guy, who essentially hacked off a massive callus on his foot with a razor blade.

Even for those who find Dr. Pimple Popper’s antics satisfying this has to be a step too far.

The grim YouTube clip – which has been watched more than a million people – shows the unidentified man hack away at a callus that almost covers his entire foot.

He begins his grim procedure my digging the razor into the middle of his foot to show the slightly paler yellow skin underneath.

And the proceeds to hack away at the skin on the rest of his foot for 20 minutes without even flinching.

If you really want to be grossed out watch it with the volume turned up.

Naturally, the British Skin Foundation did not recommend you should try this at home, although we like to think people are queuing up to give this a go.

Lisa Bickerstaffe from the foundation told the MailOnline: ‘The British Skin Foundation always recommends you seek assistance from a professional, either your GP or a dermatologist when dealing with skin issues, rather than attempting to fix the problem at home with DIY solutions which can lead to injury or infections.’

What is a callus?

A thickened or hardened bit of the skin usually found in areas subject to friction.

As the skin is thick it is less sensitive and often develops on the foot when your skin rubs against your shoe or ground.
