No Yolk - Norwalk Cook Wins State Fair Egg Creation Award

DES MOINES, IA (08/19/2019) (readMedia)-- Bridget Lottman of Norwalk won First Place Overall and a $300 cash award in the Egg-Ceptional Eggs Cooking Contest, judged Wednesday, at the 2019 Iowa State Fair.

Angela Miller of West Des Moines earned Second Place Overall and $200. Karla Hocker of Boone claimed Third Place Overall and $100.

Entries were judged on flavor, presentation, texture and ease of preparation.

The Iowa State Fair Food Department is the largest of any state fair in the country. There are 166 divisions, 715 classes and over 7,300 entries at this year's Fair. Food Department judging is held in the Elwell Family Food Center sponsored by Blue Bunny Ice Cream.
