Robert Randolph and the Family Band coming The Classic Center Theatre

Robert Randolph and the Family Band will perform live on Friday, August 14 at 8 p.m. - Tickets go on sale this Friday, May 1 at 10 a.m.!

ATHENS, Ga. – Robert Randolph and the Family Band will perform live at The Classic Center Theatre on Friday, August 14 at 8 p.m. in conjunction with the 3rd annual Classic City BBQ Festival.

Tickets range from $25-$32, plus applicable fees, and go on sale this Friday, May 1 at 10 a.m. Patrons will have the opportunity to add a BBQ plate and a soft drink for $10 to their order to be used at the pre-show barbecue that will be held in front of the Theatre. A Music & BBQ VIP Experience Package, including all Classic City BBQ Festival activities, the Friday night concert and pre-show barbecue, will also be available for $75.

The band is led by pedal steel guitarist Robert Randolph, who credits Stevie Ray Vaughan as the primary influence of his musical style. The latest Robert Randolph and the Family Band album, “Lickety Split,” was released in 2013.

Most recently, the band’s “Take the Party” was selected as the theme song for SEC Nation, the college football pre-show program featuring Tim Tebow and Marcus Spears that airs on the SEC Network.
