KC-area man accused of violent assault of women he met online

KANSAS CITY —A Kansas City-area man faces a dozen felony counts in connection with the kidnapping, assault and raping of three unrelated female victims in 2019 and 2020 incidents, according to Jackson County Prosecutor Jean Peters Baker.

Kevin W. March 39, Grandview, Mo., is jailed on requested charges that include Robbery, four counts of Kidnapping, Assault and three counts of Sodomy, Rape or Attempted Rape.

According to court records, three unrelated women have described to Kansas City police detectives how they met the defendant on Craigslist in May 2019 and in two incidents in January 2020 tied them up, gagged them, forced them to ingest drugs, forced them to perform sex acts on the defendant and others, and stole property from them.  Some of the woman were bound for hours.

Prosecutors have requested a bond of $500,000.
