Town Master Plan Survey

There is still time to participate in the survey. Complete one online, or submit a paper copy to the Town Offices at 356 Main St. Hard copies are available at the Town Offices and at various locations downtown. End 68 Hours of Hunger BMW Raffle

The car has been at several Route 11 businesses, and currently it is at Honey Dew. Tickets are also available at the following businesses during their normal hours: Barron Brothers Development, Inc., 372 NH Route 11; Dana’s Collision Repair, 265 Route 11; New England Furniture, 433 Route 11. Ticket availability update: 1,629 of the 3,000 tickets (or 54%) have been sold so far. The winner will be drawn on Saturday, Sept. 28 at 8 p.m. Thanks to all business partners and in-kind donors who made it possible to say all your donations go straight to food for the kids of Farmington who need our help. All printing costs, website design, ticket distribution and marketing needs were donated. The group is especially humbled by the generosity of the volunteer who donated her gorgeous vehicle. Blood Drive

Help support the American Red Cross. On Tuesday, Oct. 1 they’ll be having a blood drive in the Rec. Department’s Gym from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Call 1-800-733-2767 to schedule an appointment.

September is Library Card Sign-up Month. Sign up for a new library card in September, take home a free plant! There’s a raffle to win some great prizes. Winners to be drawn Oct. 1.

Caregiver Café on Friday, Sept. 27 at 10:30 a.m. Are you caring for a loved one with a long-term illness, disability, or Alzheimer’s, or looking for resources and support? Come to our Caregiver Café. This program is for caregivers and people they care for.

Local Wild Life on Thursday, Sept. 26 at 6 p.m. Come learn about local wild life, animal signs, and animal adaptations! This program is presented by the Student Conservation Association. (Sorry, no live animals).

Pre-School Apple Picking Field Trip on Friday, Oct. 11 at 10:30 a.m. Join us for Apple stories and apple picking at Butternut Farm. Cost is $4 per child payable to Butternut Farm the date of the field trip. Please register in advance for this trip.

Adult Butternut Farm Trip on Saturday, Oct. 12 at 3 p.m. Learn about Butternut Farm’s hard cider process. Cost is $4 per person, payable to Butternut Farm the day of the trip. Please register in advance for this trip. This event is strictly 21+, plus valid photo ID.

Fireman's Relief Association

In August, the Dept. welcomed their newest live-in student intern, Firefighter Ali Lagasse. FF Lagasse is a senior at Lakes Region Community College where she is studying Fire Science, and is also finishing her Firefighter I and EMT certifications. The live-in student program at Farmington Fire Rescue allows for Fire Technology students from local colleges to gain relevant on the job training and experience while attending school.

Farmington Preservation & Improvement Organization

On Saturday, Nov 2 from 2-5 p.m. at Farmington House of Pizza. This is your opportunity to decorate your own Farmington bulb. Choose your color and decorations. These are the old bulbs that have decorated our downtown during the Christmas season for many decades and will now make great decorations on your tree (or excellent gifts). This is a fun way to own a piece of Farmington's history. Already-decorated ones will be available for purchase. The cost is $5 per bulb and includes the bulb and decorations.
