Bahrain F1 visa procedures issued

Manama, March 10, 2014

Details of Formula One visit visas were issued yesterday.

Visitors can only use them for entry into Bahrain between March 23 and April 6, said a report in the Gulf Daily News (GDN), our sister publication.

The visa is valid for two weeks from the date of entry and is a multiple re-entry visa.

This visa has no physical evidence in the passport. Visitors will have to submit a printout of the visa approval or a letter of invitation from the guarantor.

They can obtain visa on arrival, or pre-arrange it through the website www.evisa.gov.bh or Nationality, Passports and Residence Affairs (NPRA) depending on their nationality and GCC expat residence status.

Visas can be obtained on arrival by citizens of Andorra, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Brunei, Canada, China, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hong Kong, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Malaysia, Monaco, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Portugal, Russia, San Marino, Singapore, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Thailand, Turkey, the UK, US, Vatican City, South Korea, Brazil, Chile, Cyprus, Hungary, Panama, South Africa, Taiwan, Venezuela and India. GCC expat residents can also obtain an F1 visa on arrival.

In order to make the process at the entry point smoother, citizens of these countries should utilise the online service to obtain their visas prior to arrival.

Citizens of other countries must have a guarantor to obtain a visa. The guarantor can be a Bahraini commercial entity or a Bahraini individual. They can be obtained by the guarantor at NPRA. - TradeArabia News Service
