Unpaid electricity and water bills in Bahrain reached BD127.3 million ($334 million) by the end of March, Energy Minister Dr Abdulhussain Mirza said yesterday (December 2).

He revealed BD169.3 million was owed to the Electricity and Water Authority (EWA) at the end of the first quarter, with BD42 million in late municipal fees accounting for the rest, reported the Gulf Daily News,our sister publication.
