About Brackenridge Park
Located at the base of the San Antonio River headwaters, Brackenridge Park features over 340 acres of activities and places to visit. This park area actually shows evidence of human habitation as far back as 11,000 years ago so even back then it was a place for people to gather. These days Brackenridge Park is home to the San Antonio Zoo, The Japanese Tea Garden, San Antonio Botanical Gardens, The Brackenridge Eagle (kiddie train), the Witte Museum and America’s oldest children’s amusement theme park, “Kiddie Park.”

See & Do
There are so many activities in the Brackenridge Park area that you will want to spend an entire day. The San Antonio Zoo is right in the middle of this area and right next door to the zoo is an adorable miniature train that the whole family can ride. It is called the Brackenridge Eagle.
The San Antonio Botanical Gardens host a variety of events, including life size dinosaurs almost once a year. The whole family can wander amongst the realistic creatures.
Stop off at the Witte Museum for a lesson in Texas history or to ride a bicycle in the trees!

There are a variety of choices when it comes to what you want to eat while visiting the Brackenridge Park area.
