Hospitals statewide were treating 397 patients with COVID-19, including 100 in intensive care unit beds.

The state's adult ICU bed capacity is at 91% and non-ICU bed capacity is at 94%.

Cases, hospitalizations, deaths rise

The Oregon Health Authority reported an increase in new coronavirus cases, new hospitalizations and reported deaths in its weekly report released Wednesday.

During the week of Nov. 29 to Dec. 5, the state reported 6,435 new cases of COVID-19, an increase of 50% from the previous week. Health officials attributed the rise at least in part due to a "significant reduction" in tests the prior week due to the Thanksgiving holiday.

The percentage of new positive cases rose to 5.9% from 5.6%.

New hospitalizations increased by 38%, likely also impacted by reduced reporting during Thanksgiving week, OHA said.

Deaths increased by one compared to the previous week, to 126.
