Detectives seek to identify skeletal remains found in Wickenburg

The Maricopa County Sheriff's Office on Thursday released a forensic image of a man whose skeletal remains were found in May, and officials are seeking the public's help in identifying the man.

The remains were discovered on the outskirts of Wickenburg on May 21, according to Sgt. Bryan Vanegas. 

Based on evidence gathered at the scene, detectives determined the man's death was a homicide, Vanegas said.

The Medical Examiner's Office determined the man died anywhere from five to 25 years ago, Vanegas added.

The man was either white or Hispanic and between 18 and 40 years old, according to detectives. He is estimated to have been between 5 feet, 6 inches and 5 feet, 10 inches tall.
