The city also announced it will continue to partner with the Visiting Nurses Association to provide meals to seniors on weekdays. Seniors must have their meals picked up at curbside by 12:45 p.m.

Although the number of positive COVID-19 cases has decreased in the city and across the region, some seniors might feel timid when it comes to being out in public, center activities manager Dianca McGhee said in a Facebook video.

She encouraged seniors to come by or call 972-230-5825 with questions.

“Even if you want to drive by and you’re not ready to come in the building, we’ll still be in there waiting on you,” she said.

The senior center is located at 204 Lion St.
