Orlando police are investigating a shooting near Lake Lucerne Monday night that left a 17-year-old with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound, according to the Orlando Police Department.
OPD spokesperson Lt. Charles Crosby said police were called to reports of a shooting on the 800 block of Main Lane just after 10 p.m. Monday.
Officers found the teen had been shot in the leg. He was taken by ambulance to the nearby Orlando Regional Medical Center, Crosby said.
The teen did not provide information about the shooting to officers, but evidence suggests the shooting may have been drug-related, Crosby said. Police believe the suspect fled the area in a silver four-door sedan.
Officials released no additional details on the shooting Monday night.
