A car was found abandoned in a ditch along Babcock Lane early Saturday morning, the Ukiah Valley Fire Authority reported.
Engineer Robb Ramseier said crews responded to Babcock Lane near Talmage Road around 12:45 a.m. Sept. 14 when it was reported that a vehicle had gone into a ditch.
Ramseier described the vehicle as a Mini Cooper that had no occupants by the time first-responders arrived on-scene. He said the vehicle was located near the curve in the roadway that is nearly 90-degrees.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the owner did respond to the scene later and was not arrested. The vehicle was towed from the scene and no injuries were reported.
On Thursday, the CHP also responded to a big rig hauling grapes that overturned in Hopland. According to the CHP, there were three vehicles involved in the collision that included the semi-truck hitting a parked car around 5 a.m. Sept. 12.
One of the trailers full of grapes then overturned, slowing down traffic, but the highway was not closed. No injuries were reported and no arrests were made.
