Oklahoma football released new COVID-19 testing information Thursday morning, announcing zero positive tests and 18 total recoveries.

The Sooners tested 98 players and 30 staff on Wednesday. This is the second consecutive week in which Oklahoma has had zero positive tests.

The team returned to campus on July 1 and was greeted with 14 cases among players and two recoveries among players, with two cases among staff. Since then, all of those infected have recovered, and the team has zero active cases as of Thursday's announcement.

According to experts, OU's success is a result of team-wide mask wearing and physical distancing.

“They physically distance the players, and they have them all in masks," OU chief COVID officer Dale Bratzler told The Oklahoman. "And it's working. They’re wearing masks all the time during indoor and outdoor training, and they’ve really taken it to heart.”
