One Spark creator goes global with healthy frozen desserts

An alumnus of the 2014 One Spark crowdfunding festival in Jacksonville is going global with their specialized frozen desserts.

Naturally Smart Foods, which was a creator exhibit at One Spark a year ago, has reached an agreement to expand its distribution of protein frozen confections to Bahrain in the Middle east, according to One Spark news release Monday.

Naturally Smart Foods was founded in 2013 with the concept of providing protein treats similar to ice cream, but minus the cream. Naturally Smart Foods' frozen desserts gained attention after One Spark 2014 and the company based in Jacksonville Beach landed distribution agreements with grocery chains Whole Foods, Earth Fare, Winn Dixie, Lucky's Market and several independent stores.

The Bahrain agreement will lead to wider Middle East regional distribution of the Natural Smart Food desserts.
