'We have the watch from here;' Listen to the final radio call for fallen Yarmouth police Sgt. Sean Gannon

Police broadcast a final call for Yarmouth police Sgt. Sean Gannon, who was killed while serving a warrant April 12.

"Sgt. Gannon served the town of Yarmouth alongside his K-9 partner Nero with honor, respect and courage," according to the transmission which was posted to YouTube. "K-9 Sgt. Gannon, thank you for your dedicated service to the town of Yarmouth, thank you for your unwavering faith, love and service to your family, friends, community and all those you touched."

Thousands gathered in Yarmouth this week to pay their respects to the fallen officer. Gannon, 32, was serving a warrant in Marstons Mills last week when he was shot in the head and killed. His K-9 partner Nero was shot in the face and the neck and is still recovering. The last call went out at 3:30 p.m. Thursday, around the time Gannon was killed a week earlier.

"Last radio call for J7, K-9 Sgt. Sean Gannon, badge No. 5992. You will be missed immensely and you will never be forgotten," the broadcast said. "K-9 Sgt. Sean Gannon, end of watch April 12, 2018. May you rest in peace, sir. We have the watch from here."
