Christine "Cricket" Burgess, 81, of LaFayette, Ga., died Monday, Oct. 11, 2010.
She is survived by husband, Claymon Burgess; daughters and sons-in-law, Shelia and Louis Brock, of LaFayette and Shirley and Lebron McWhorter, of Trion; sons and daughters-in-law, Garry and Gladys Burgess, of LaFayette, and Charles Henry and Elaine Burgess, of Trion and Ronald and Teresa Burgess, of Ringgold; sisters, Sue Henson, of LaFayette and Betty Bradley, of Rossville; 13 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside service will be Thursday, Oct. 13 at 2 p.m. Service will be conducted by Rev. Randy Avans. Interment will follow in the LaFayette Cemetery.
Pallbearers are Hunter Vest, Claude Burgess, Charles Burgess, Larry Stoker, Anthony Richardson, Darin and Clayton Kelley. Honorary pallbearers are grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday, Oct. 13 from 5-8:30 p.m. with a special music ceremony to follow until 9 p.m.
