The event opted to donate a portion of the event tickets sale proceeds to the Rotary International District 6990’s Haiti Earthquake Support Relief, with the recent natural disaster that devastated the country.

“The inaugural Rotary Club of Weston Food & Wine Festival was a huge success, and we could not be prouder of the funds we raised for our community and those affected by the recent earthquake in Haiti,” said Norton, event chairman and a past president of Rotary Club of Weston. “Though we had to take necessary precautions to ensure proper hygiene, the community really came together to support these causes. We are so grateful to our generous sponsors, restaurant, wineries and attendees who helped make this event happen.”

The Rotary Club of Weston, which meets every Thursday morning for fellowship, breakfast and a presentation from a guest speaker, focuses its community service activities in the areas of services to youth and families in need.
