COLUMBUS (WCMH) – As Saturday’s game against that team up north approaches, Ohio State says it has seen a significant increase in counterfeit tickets.

The university is encouraging fans to only purchase tickets to Saturday’s game through Ohio State Authorized sources. Those sources are the OSU ticket office, Ticketmaster and Ohio State Ticket Exchange.

They also suggest covering the barcode when sharing pictures of tickets.

Fans are also encouraged to use mobile entry on an iOS or Android device.

The university says fans purchasing tickets from unauthorized sources (including StubHub, Vivid Seats, CraigsList, EBay, and ticket brokers) assume the risk that tickets purchased are counterfeit or the barcodes have been invalidated. Any fan attempting to enter Ohio Stadium with counterfeit or invalid barcodes will be denied entry. This includes, but is not limited to, fans entering the game with print-at-home tickets that have been altered in any way.

Vivid Seats responded to OSU’s warning, telling customers that it has a ‘100% buyer guarantee’ for tickets purchased through its site.
