MG ZS EV launched, starts at Rs 20.88 lakh

NEW DELHI: Morris Garages (India) Motors on Thursday launched the electric SUV ZS EV in two variants, starting at Rs 20.88 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).

Customers, who had pre-booked the car, get an additional discount of Rs 1 lakh. A 7.4kWh AC wall-mounted charger comes complimentary with the SUV.
MG ZS EV: Features and variants explained
The interiors of sub-4.5 metre SUV are feature-loaded with 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, climate control, power-adjustable ORVMs among others. The Exclusive variant also gets PU leather-wrapped flat-bottom steering, PM 2.5 air filter, iSmart EV 2.0, on broad WiFi Hotspot, updated weather widget powered by AccuWeather, massive sky roof, 6-way power-adjustable driver seat, among the exhaustive list of features.
MG ZS EV review: A promising electric SUV
MG EZ EV is powered by 44.5 kWh battery, supplying a claimed range of 340 kilometers/full charge. The IP67 motor delivers 143 PS power and 350Nm torque. The SUV can touch 0-100 kph in 8 seconds. MG Motors has partnered with Delta and Fortum India for charging facility stations. The company claims a 7.4kW AC charger can fully charge the battery in 6-8 hours whereas 50kW DC charger can charge 80% in less than an hour.

MG Motors India will start selling the electric SUV in five cities: Delhi-NCR, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Ahmedabad and Bengaluru. The carmakers have clocked almost 3,000 pre-launch bookings of the SUV.
