Your Weekly Tarot Card Reading, Based on Your Sign

From Cosmopolitan

You don't need to know the difference between a three-card and a Celtic cross spread, to get the most out of a tarot card reading. All you need: your Sun sign! Here's what I do: Shuffle my tarot deck and pull out the cards in order from Aries to Pisces plus one general card for everyone so that you can get specific advice around your personality. Let’s go!

A GENERAL CARD FOR EVERYONE: EIGHT OF SWORDS

Projection: it’s something we ALL do. The things we don’t like in others are often a reflection of a trait we have within ourselves. The Eight of Swords asks us all to recognize when we’re doing this, and make a conscious effort to understand what it is within ourselves that we’re rejecting. Recognize what needs to change, and make a lasting transformation.

ARIES: THE MAGICIAN

You’re a natural-born entrepreneur, Aries—you've got the ambition and optimism to make sh*t happen. The Magician hints that you could put one of your big ideas into action this week. What talents can you bring the world? What side gig have you been thinking over? It’s time to start making your daydreams a reality. You can do it, Aries.

TAURUS: SIX OF CUPS

The Six of Cups signals it’s playtime, so find your crew and have some fun! No matter how old you are, play helps us relax, makes it easier to bond with others, and heals our frazzled nerves. Life isn’t all work—it’s about pleasure, too.

GEMINI: TEN OF SWORDS

Gemini, you are a professional ghost. You know how to slip away from people or situations that are no longer working for you, and it’s time for one of your phantom performances this week. The Ten of Swords is a cutting card, and it tells you that something has outlived its purpose. Cut your losses and end this now. You'll feel better when you move on.

CANCER: ACE OF WANDS

The Ace of Wands asks you to identify something you once loved doing but, for some reason or other, stopped. Maybe life just got in the way. Well, now you’ve got a second chance to bring it back, for good. It could be a relationship, a hobby, a project... or just about anything. Look back to the last time you felt authentically yourself. What can you bring back?

LEO: THE SUN

The Sun is such a beautiful tarot card, promising love, success, and joy. It tells you that good times waiting for you this summer, if you're confident enough to step forward. The Universe is asking you to go after your heart’s desire this week. You won’t fail, and your success will unlock a whole new chapter of wonderful things. Be brave and JFDI!

VIRGO: PAGE OF WANDS

You’re typically super-organized and clear about what you’re doing. But not this week, Virgo, because the Page of Wands has you feeling confused. Don’t overthink this—slow down, let the panicky feelings pass you by, and do what you were planning to do anyway. Keep calm and carry on.

LIBRA: THE DEVIL

Be careful this week, Libra! If it feels tempting or dangerous, avoid it. The Devil warns that you're likely to repeat bad habits or past mistakes, and it asks you to recognize that this path leads nowhere good. Be on alert for bad choices this week, and summon all of your willpower to make better ones.

SCORPIO: THE WORLD

Everything happens in cycles, Scorpio. Restlessness leads to change, and you’ve been feeling restless lately. Well, that area of your life is coming to a natural close. The World shows that you’re ready to go to the next level—but to do so, you need to actively let something wind down. It’s not a sad process, but it's an important one. You’re expanding your ideas, and you’re preparing for something bigger and better.

SAGITTARIUS: THE CHARIOT

Travel and exploration is your lifeblood, Sagittarius. You NEED to be able to go where you please—so this year has been hard for you. But this card is good news. The Chariot represents travel, and it promises that you will be given opportunities to broaden your horizons (literally or spiritually) in the week ahead. If you’re hoping to move, change jobs, (safely) visit a new place, or learn something new, then THIS is THE week to put your plans into action.

CAPRICORN: THE WHEEL OF FORTUNE

Change is coming, Cap! Are you ready for a transformative week? Hope so, because the Wheel of Fortune is a powerful card about major shifts that will rock your world (in a mostly good way). Change is always scary, I know. But you’re a cardinal sign, so you like to initiate things, after all. Put that energy into practice this week and start something new. The stars are aligning around your idea.

AQUARIUS: KING OF CUPS

Romance is the name of the game this week, Aquarius, and I wonder who you’ve got your eye on? The King of Cups hints that you’re on fire this week, so aim your magnetic vibes at the object of your affection. If you’re already attached, then surprise boo with a thoughtful date night agenda. Give love, and you’ll get love back.

PISCES: FOUR OF SWORDS

We all need a time-out sometimes, and you’ve reached that place. The Four of Swords is like a pass from the Universe, allowing you to bow out of the action and rest up. Don’t worry; everything will be waiting for you when you’re ready to return. You need some solitude and peace. Rest, and you can re-balance your energy.
