Former Vols in the NBA: April 16 recap

One former University of Tennessee basketball player was in action in the NBA Friday night, while another was on the inactive list due to a minor nagging injury.

In Dallas, the Mavericks dropped a 117-109 decision to New York at American Airlines Center.

Former Volunteer Josh Richardson scored 14 points, pulled down four rebounds and dished out four assists for the Mavericks (30-25).

Richardson started and played 33 minutes against the Knicks (30-27). He had two steals and a pair of blocks. The former Vol was 6-for-12 from the field and went 2-for-5 from beyond the 3-point arc.

Meanwhile in Philadelphia, the 76ers outlasted the Los Angeles Clippers, 106-103, at Wells Fargo Center.

Former Vol Tobias Harris, however, was inactive for the game against his former team. He missed the contest due to right knee soreness.

He was one of three Philadelphia players declared inactive Friday night.

Seth Curry (left hip flexor stiffness) and Dwight Howard (left knee soreness) were also out.
