Hospitalizations For Coronavirus Continue To Plummet In CT

CONNECTICUT — The number of confirmed coronavirus cases in Connecticut increased by 350 to 42,022 over the past 24 hours, while the number of deaths rose by 44 to 3,912, according to the latest information from the state Department of Public Health.

The number of hospitalizations, however, has continued to dive. The current number of patients hospitalized with COVID-19 has fallen by 44, to 533 beds. A total of 246,935 people in Connecticut have been tested for the coronavirus.

Hospitalizations dropped by one in Windham, and by 12 in both Fairfield and New Haven. Middlesex and Tolland saw no change, while the number of beds needed in Hartford dropped by 18, and by two in Litchfield. Only in New London was there an increase in hospitalizations, and only by one bed.
