Calumet celebrated bike to work day on Friday.

More than a hundred students and teachers biked to CLK Schools this morning. The day is designed to encourage kids to get outside and exercise. Employees from Cross Country Sports also gave students bike trick demonstrations. This is the fifth year the store has participated in the event.

"I get the young guys to come down here and this a pump track behind me. The purpose of the pump track is to try to get all the way around without pedaling, which is harder to do than it might look. Just to demonstrate what you can do on a bike. It gets kids fired up for biking, we hope," said Cross Country Sports Owner Rick Oikarinen.

Bike to work days are held across the United States and Canada throughout the month of May.
