The Kansas City Chiefs and New England Patriots have completed their final practice ahead of their Week 14 matchup.
Check out the injury report with game designations for the Chiefs down below:
Player | Injury | Designation* |
QB Patrick Mahomes | Knee | – |
T Eric Fisher | Groin | – |
DT Derrick Nnadi | Elbow | – |
DE Alex Okafor | Ankle | – |
CB Kendall Fuller | Thumb | – |
DE Frank Clark | Illness | Questionable |
S Jordan Lucas | Illness | Questionable |
RB Damien Williams | Ribs | Out |
CB Rashad Fenton | Hamstring | Out |
CB Mo Claiborne | Shoulder | Out |
* Out = Won’t play | Doubtful = Unlikely to play | Questionable = Possible to play
The Chiefs ruled out three players against the Patriots. Two of reserve corners in Claiborne and Fenton are set to miss the game with an injury, which would typically be worrisome against the Patriots. Since the New England offense has been struggling, I’m not sure it’ll make all that much a difference this week.
Damien Williams had a big game against the Patriots in the AFC championship game in 2018, but it’s safe to say he hasn’t been able to replicate much of his success from a season ago during this season.
The best news from the final injury report is that Frank Clark hasn’t been ruled out. He dealt with a shoulder injury early in the week, but his illness seems to have been the only thing that kept him from practice the past two days. Andy Reid said that Clark was quarantined along with Jordan Lucas. That way they don’t have the whole team getting sick. If Clark feels better, he has a shot to play on Sunday, albeit without any practice besides a limited day on Wednesday.
Check out the injury report with game designations for the Patriots down below:
Player | Injury | Designation* |
QB Cody Kessler | Illness | – |
DE John Simon | Elbow | – |
WR Mohamed Sanu | Ankle | Questionable |
CB Jason McCourty | Groin | Questionable |
WR Julian Edelman | Shoulder | Questionable |
S Patrick Chung | Heel | Questionable |
OT Marcus Cannon | Illness | Questionable |
LB Ja’Whaun Bentley | Knee | Questionable |
OL Ted Karras | Knee | Out |
DL Byron Cowart | Head | Out |
* Out = Won’t play | Doubtful = Unlikely to play | Questionable = Possible to play
The Patriots ruled out starting center Ted Karras and reserve defensive lineman Byron Cowart. Tom Brady was completely removed from the injury report, so it appears his injuries weren’t anything serious. Several key players are questionable this week for New England on both offense and defense, but keep in mind that the same was true last week, and most of them were made available to play.
