RIFFA club have terminated the contract of their Portuguese coach Miranda after a series of disappointing results which see them sit in last place in the league table after four matches.
Miranda drew his first two games in the league against Al Najma 0-0 and against Al Bahrain Club 2-2 before falling to losses against East Riffa (2-0) and Al Hidd (1-0).
The club has decided to appoint Salman Shareeda as the new coach of the club.
Shareeda, who was Al Hidd’s coach last season, steered the team to their maiden league title while also winning his Majesty the King’s Cup, the Federation Cup and The Super Cup during his two-year tenure.
Riffa also managed to get the signature of Al Hidd’s striker Mohammed Al Rumaihi after he was suspended from his club for technical reasons.
Al Rumaihi managed to end the league campaign last season as top scorer with seven goals.
The striker signed a one-year contract for an undisclosed fee.
