The Juicy Seafood restaurant now open, sort of

The Juicy Seafood took a while to stew.

Renovation work started last year at the 2690 East Boulevard restaurant, and signage was in place along the boulevard by fall. But months of work continued, inside and out.

Now the doors are open, at least for a little while.

It’s doing a limited soft-opening before closing again for a full launch in May. The restaurant was crowded this week with people trying an exhaustive menu featuring everything from calamari, to blue crab, to oyster baskets, to chicken wings and sweet potato fries.

No date was immediately available for the shut down and re-launch. After it happens, it’ll also serve a range of wine and beers, and the hours will expand.

For now, you can try it from 2 p.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and 2 p.m. to 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
