Loudoun County To Offer Free Coronavirus Testing Saturday

LOUDOUN COUNTY, VA — Loudoun County will offer free coronavirus testing on Saturday to anyone who shows up, regardless of age, symptoms or residency.

The county announced two simultaneous drive-thru testing events will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Franklin Park in Purcellville and Freedom High School in Chantilly.

An appointment is not necessary to be tested for the virus, but advanced registration is recommended, the county announced. Those hoping to get tested are encouraged to complete a registration form prior to arriving. The form is available in English and Spanish.

The form should be printed out, completed and brought to the testing site. Forms will also be provided at testing sites.

The county previously offered two testing events this month. On Nov. 10, 1,170 people were tested, and on Nov. 14, 1,231 were tested.

On Monday, 2,677 new cases of the coronavirus were reported in Virginia, according to a New York Times database. The weekly case average is 1,594, up 22 percent from two weeks prior.

As it stands, Virginia has had at least 204,637 cases and 3,806 deaths since the pandemic began.
