Switzerland and Thailand were also on the list of places to avoid in 2020.

According to Fodor's No List 2020, reasons range from over-tourism to dangers to tourists.
Barcelona is facing an over-tourism crisis, according to the report.
An increase in Airbnbs has forced locals to struggle to afford property, while a surge in attacks were reported earlier this year in a number of tourist hotspots.
Bali is also suffering the same fate - the report claims that the islands produce 3,800 tons of waste every day.
The islands are planning to introduce a £7 tourist tax when entering the islands to preserve them.

Tourists have been slammed for being disrespectful of the culture - a woman was spotted in a tiny bikini while shopping in a supermarket on the island.
Big Sur in California, Angkor Wat in Cambodia and Hanoi Train Street in Vietnam have also struggled with the influx in tourists in recent years which has negatively affected the destination, making their way onto the list of places to avoid.
Tourists are also being warned to think twice about climbing the Matterhorn, located in Switzerland, due to a number of deaths every year.
A guide explained to a Zurich newspaper that it has become "too unstable" and was "too dangerous" to be a tourist attraction.

The reefs at Florida Keys are to be avoided, as the 360 mile stretch is being destroyed.
A combination of mass bleaching and a mysterious sickness are affecting the coral reef at the Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary.
The disease, dubbed "stony coral tissue loss disease," has also spread to Parque Nacional Arrecifes de Cozumel in Mexico - another area to avoid to allow the area to heal.
Over-tourism has also led to expensive taxes and entry fees - visitors to the Galapagos National Park have to now pay $100 (£77) per visit.
Komodo Island in Indonesia could introduce new charges with suggestions of a membership fee which could cost upwards of $1,000 (£771).

The report asks that due to the steep measures being put into place to cap tourist numbers and attempts to protect the islands: "Should you go at all?"
The report also advises against Mexico and Central America following a number of deaths linked to tainted alcohol, especially in Costa Rica.
Thailand should be avoided due to the animal cruelty against elephants and elephant riding, while Cape Town has a high list of homicides against locals.
The report explains: "Every year, we use the No List to highlight issues—ethical, environmental, sometimes even political—that we’re thinking about before, during, and long after we travel."
