MoDOT releases details on Deer Creek Bridge improvement project in Osage County

Information is now available regarding the deck replacement on the Missouri 100 bridge over Deer Creek in Osage County, located west of Chamois.

The Missouri Department of Transportation asks nearby residents and travelers to share their thoughts.

The bridge was built in 1965 and has reached the point where deck replacement is necessary to extend the life and usability of the bridge, according to a MoDOT news release.

Missouri 100 will be closed to traffic at the bridge during construction for up to two months.

The work is expected to begin and be completed next year.

Motorists and area residents can ask questions or provide feedback on the project using the digital comment form at modot.org/DeerCreekBridgeRedeck. The online public comment period is open through June 25.

This bridge is included in Gov. Mike Parson's $351 million Focus on Bridges program, which will repair or replace 250 bridges across the state.
