A PHONE repair shop has been caught selling fake Apple accessories and parts to its customers.
The Phone Whisperer in Latchford was found to have sold counterfeit iPhone cases, back plates and batteries to a shopper in January last year.
And Trading Standards later discovered a large bounty of fraudulent goods at the premises on Knutsford Road in April 2019.
This included 50 phone cases, 170 backplates, 95 charges, 15 sets of earphones and 36 USB cables.
Donald Danks, the company’s sole director, admitted nine offences against the Trademarks Act 1994 at Warrington Magistrates Court in February.
The 38-year-old, of Powder Mill Road in Latchford, was handed an 18-month community order and 250 hours of unpaid work at Chester Crown Court on Wednesday, June 17.
