Tennessee Titans place three players on reserve/COVID-19 list after positive tests
NASHVILLE — Hours after the NFL announced the Titans had returned eight positive COVID-19 test results — three players, five team personnel — the Titans on Tuesday afternoon placed three players on the reserve/COVID-19 list
The players: defensive lineman DaQuan Jones, long snapper Beau Brinkley and tight end Tommy Hudson, who is on the practice squad. They're not among the marquee names on the Titans' roster, but two of three play critical roles on gameday.
Here's a bit more on each player:
DaQuan Jones
A team captain, Jones is one of the longest-tenured members of the Titans, having joined the team in 2014 as a fourth-round pick out of Penn State. If Jeffery Simmons is the playmaker on the Titans defensive line, Jones is the steady anchor. The 28-year-old has started all three of the Titans' games this season and has eight total tackles.

Behind Jones, the Titans have Jack Crawford, Larrell Murchison, Matt Dickerson and Isaiah Mack available as depth pieces.
Beau Brinkley
Another player who has been with the Titans for longer than most on the roster, Brinkley plays an important part on special teams. His efforts are largely unsung, but he handles all the long-snapping duties on punts and field goals. Brinkley has been with the Titans since 2012.
It's unclear who the Titans would turn to for long-snapping in Brinkley's absence.
Tommy Hudson
Hudson has been stashed on the Titans practice squad since training camp ended. Hudson, an Arizona State product, signed as an undrafted free agent in May.
