More than $3,000 worth of cigarettes stolen from Clarendon store

CLARENDON, NC (WECT) - More than $3,000 worth of cigarettes were stole during a break-in at a Clarendon convenience store early Thursday morning.

According to sheriff's office officials, Columbus County deputies responded to an alarm call at Sidney Service Mart located at 12499 James B. White Highway South at approximately 2:30 a.m.

Deputies located a two-foot by two-foot hole in the wall of the building made with an unknown object.

An incident report states that 85 cartons of cigarettes valued at a total of $3,400 were taken from the store.
