The woman escaped Monday and ran two blocks through the Maxwell Park neighborhood in Oakland before a neighbor helped the her, KTVU reported.

The good Samaritan, a man who did not want to be identified, told KPIX, “she’d met the guy on Tinder and when she went on a date, he took her and locked her up in his house for three days.”

The good Samaritan was talking with the victim when the suspect, who was in a car, approached them. The man stood with the victim, while the suspect drove off. The man’s wife and sister had already called authorities.

Oakland police arrived shortly later and took the suspect into custody, KTVU reported.

“A preliminary investigation revealed that an adult female (non-Oakland resident) was ... imprisoned and sexually assaulted by her male partner,” police told KTVU.

Police said the suspect is in custody and the Alameda County District Attorney is expected to file charges, KPIX reported. The suspect’s identity has not been released.
