Felda man killed in early Monday morning crash north of Immokalee

A Felda man was killed in a crash north of Immokalee early Monday, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.  

Jose Alvarez, 46, was driving a Dodge Stratus south on State Road 29, approaching State Road 82, when he was killed in the crash.  

Oscar Rosalez, 50 of Immokalee, was driving a Ford F-150 north on State Road 29 approaching State Road 82 when he made a left turn and entered the path of Alvarez’s vehicle, according to FHP.

The right front of Rosalez’s truck struck the front of Alvarez’s vehicle. Both men were wearing seatbelts at the time of the crash and alcohol was not a factor, according to FHP.  

Rosalez suffered minor injuries in the crash, while Alvarez was transported to NCH Healthcare Northeast before he died, according to FHP.  

The crash is under investigation, according to FHP.
