The win means Musgraves is the first artist to win the album prize at the ACM Awards, Grammys, and Country Music Association Awards since Taylor Swift in 2010. In her acceptance speech at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on Sunday, Musgraves thanked, "everyone out there still supporting and buying records. It means everything to me.”

She went on to thank her band, her crew, and her younger sister Kelly, who designed the Golden Hour artwork. Musgraves previously won the album of the year award in 2014 for Same Trailer Different Park.
