The Tennessee Titans are saying so long to paper tickets and hello to electronic tickets.

This is something that a few other NFL teams are already doing, and the Titans will follow this upcoming season.

Season ticket holders will now be given a card that they can use the entire season to get into games.

As for other fans who use Ticketmaster, that process will all happen through your mobile device.

Titans VP of Operations Stuart Spears said the biggest reason for doing this is the times we’re in.  It will make the line quicker to get through on game day and it makes it easier for fans to share or sell electronically.

The other main reason for going in this direction is it cuts down on ticket fraud.

Spears said, “Scalping tickets have been a problem since the dawn of time and having a dispute at the stadium about who is the rightful owner what digital can do is give you direct lineage of the life of a ticket.  If it’s transferred to someone or sold to someone there’s a track record of it and with it being a digital ticket, there’s not an opportunity for you to necessarily lose the ticket.”

While the Titans hope to go completely digital in the next couple of years, if a fan buys a ticket on game day, that will still be a paper ticket.
