DAWSON — A milestone was reached in Yellow Medicine East’s 66-24 win over Dawson-Boyd on Thursday.
YME senior Madison Hinz passed 1,000 career points in the game, scoring a game-high 24 points to lead the Sting.
Hannah Stark added 19 points and nine rebounds for YME.
Avery Bartunek led DB with 11 points.
YME (6-5) will host Kerkhoven-Murdock-Sunburg on Tuesday while DB (0-8) will travel to Southwest Minnesota Christian on Saturday.

NEW ULM — The game went back and forth, but New Ulm came out on top with a 3-2 win over Marshall in boys hockey action on Thursday night.
Each team scored a goal in the first period, as Bryson Whyte got the Tigers on the board with an unassisted goal in the period
New Ulm added a goal to take a 2-1 lead into the second intermission. Tristan VanDeVere tied things back up in the third off a pass from Whyte on a power play.
New Ulm would take back the lead one final time, giving the Eagles the 3-2 win.
Dominik Caspers saved 28of 31 shots on goalin the loss, while the Marshall offense was able to record 25 shots on goal.
Marshall (11-6) will travel to Windom on Monday.
