Eurovision winners to auction off trophy
STORY: Lead singer Oleh Psiuk said at a news conference in Lviv that auctioning the trophy would serve as an additional motivation for wealthy donors "to donate money for the sake of the country and its army."
"There are many people that can allow themselves to donate large amounts to support Ukraine, this trophy will serve as an additional motivation," Psiuk said.
Kalush Orchestra were in fourth place following the jury votes at Friday's (May 14) Eurovision final in Turin, but stormed to the top of the leaderboard as predicted by bookmakers after the public votes were announced.
