Littlefield police seek man wanted on agg assault with a deadly weapon charge

The Littlefield Police Department is asking for help from the public in locating a man wanted on a warrant for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon out of Lamb County.

Jason Ray Peterson, 39, is wanted in connection with the felony charge, is believed to have access to firearms and should be considered armed and dangerous, according to a statement from the Littlefield Police Department on Thursday.

He is described as white, 260 pounds and about 5 feet, 9 inches in height with hazel eyes and black hair. He drives a brown 2016 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 LTZ pickup trick with Texas registration NHW-9432.  He is known to travel back and forth from Portales, New Mexico to to Littlefield and the Permian Basin.
