TOPEKA, Kan. (KSNT) – KSNT News spoke Tuesday afternoon with Nick Hague, a Kansas astronaut who just spent 203 days in space.
Hague and his team returned from their time on the International Space Station as they landed in Kazakhstan on Oct. 3, 2019. He shared details about his work on the ISS, as well as the experience of being in space.

The NASA astronaut also told KSNT News that Russian President Vladimir Putin recently awarded him the country’s Order of Courage. The top state honor was for his bravery when he and his colleague, a Russian cosmonaut, had to make an emergency landing during their first launch attempt in October 2018.
Hague was born in Belleville, Kan. and raised in Hoxie.
