INDIGO BALLROOM IS ADDING A SPLASH OF GLITZ AND GLAM TO THIS DCRALIEFF STRIP MALL LOCATED ALONG EAST LINCOLN TRAIL BOULEVARD NREA DIXIE ON TUESDAY OWNER LAQUISHA RICHARDSON PREPPED THE DECOR FOR A SATURDAY WEDDING CELEBRATION HERE. SHE SAYS MONTHS AGO. SHE NOTICED A NEED FOR A LUXURY EVENT VENUE IN HARDIN COUNTY. WE HAD TO GO ALL THE WAY TO LOUIILSVLE. WE COULDN’T FIND A VENUE OF HOW TO GO. SHEPHERDSVILLE R,ICHARDSON ALREADY HAS AN EVENT PLANNING AND DESIGN BUSINESS, BUT HER NEW VENUE WAS A DREAM DELAYED MORE THAN A YEAR BY THE CORONAVIRUS NDPAEMIC. SHE ORIGINALLY SIGNED HER LEASE ON FEBRUARY 1ST OF 2020 COVID-19. I CAN OPEN UP THE DOOR SO I HAD A STEP BACK. I PRAYED ABOUT IT. I SLEPT ON IT. I WOKE UP ONE DAY AND I SAID, YOU KNOW WHAT? I'’ GOING TO GET MY VIDEO AND ALREADY CLIENTS ARE CALLING. SO THIS IS THE BIGGER BALLROOM. YOU CAN SEE THAT CONSTRUCTION IS STILL FINISHINGP U INSIDE THE BIG BALLROOM BY THE END OF NEXT WEEK. THERE WILL BE WALL-TO-WALL DRAPERY MORE THAN A DOZEN CHANDELIERS HANGING FROM THE ILCEING AND MORE RIGHT OVER HERE IS OUR KITCHENETTE THE ONE STOP SHOP RCLADIFFE BUSINESS IS NOT JUST A NEW OPTION FOR HARDIN COUNTY LEOV BDSIR AND EVENTS ANYONE IN KENTUCKY. Venue owner says options were limited in the area

As COVID-19 restrictions pressed pause on many weddings and celebrations over the past several months, many event venues took a major financial blow.Despite the hardships, a Hardin County entrepreneur is opening a brand new venue option in Radcliff.“This is what we needed,” said La’Quiesha Richardson, the owner of Indigo Ballroom.Richardson said she noticed a lack of luxury venue options in the area. As a longtime event planner and designer, she often was limited to venues miles away in Louisville or Shepherdsville, she explained.On June 19, Indigo Ballroom will officially open, adding a splash of glitz and glam to the shopping center located along E. Lincoln Trail Boulevard near Dixie Boulevard.It’s a grand opening that was delayed more than 16 months due to COVID-19.“I signed a contract on February the first for here. February the first of 2020. COVID happened. I couldn't open the doors, so I had to step back,” she told WLKY’s Marvis Herring on Tuesday. “I prayed about it slept on it. I woke up one day and I said 'you know what, I'm going to get my venue.'”Clients are already calling.Richardson already has events scheduled ahead of the grand opening.With chandeliers, a kitchenette, decorations, and wall-to-wall drapery, Richardson hopes to become the go-to venue for Hardin County and its surrounding areas.“Anyone in Kentucky, not just Louisville, just anyone in Kentucky. you're looking for an event hall — and it's hard to find one you're going to have to travel — I guarantee you it's worth it. It’s most definitely worth coming here,” Richardson said.
