Three Louisville-area restaurants made it onto Yelp's Top 100 Restaurants list for 2022, including a charcuterie spot, a southern restaurant, and a hole-in-the-wall barbecue joint.

The cheese shop Cultured in Butchertown, 1007 E. Main St., was the highest-ranked Kentucky location at No. 16 on the list. Yelpers praised its cheese selection and outdoor patio.

Cultured owner Jessica Mattingly said she was thrilled to be noted on the list and thanked her customers for the support over the last year.

"This little urban shop and tasting room specializes in unique and farmstead cheeses, with pairings of delicious wines and cocktails made from their extensive bourbon collection," the Yelp article read. "Charcuterie boards might include nuts and nut butters; fruits; locally made goat, sheep, and cow milk cheeses; and flavorful meats such as prosciutto and Genoa salami."

No. 73 on the list is CASK Southern Kitchen & Bar, 9980 Linn Station Road, a Southern restaurant with a modern twist. The restaurant serves well-loved items like "deviled eggs done right," a 1/3-pound CASK burger topped with bacon, pimento cheese, fried egg and smoked-tomato mayo, and brunch items like pancakes with bourbon maple syrup.

No. 89 on the list is Bully Barbeque in La Grange, Kentucky, about half an hour from Louisville. The building of this converted car wash may be unassuming, but the flavor speaks for itself.

"Local barbeque lovers ride hard for Bully’s brisket and pulled pork, served with mac and cheese, collard greens, or baked beans," the Yelp article read. "The sides are worth the stop alone (try the fried pickles.) And for those curious about the name, Bully Barbeque is no bully; the spot is named after the owner’s three bulldogs."

Most of the restaurants on the Top 100 list were affordable spots where you can enjoy a meal for $30 or less. The No. 1 spot went to Cocina Madrigal, a Latino-owned restaurant in Phoenix, Arizona serving Oaxaca fundido and beef birria enchiladas.

Two restaurants in Nashville, Tennessee were highly rated on the list, too, with Osh Restaurant and Grill coming in at No. 9 and Skull's Rainbow Room at No. 14. They serve Mediterranean food and American fine dining, respectively.

Yelp's Top 100 list is compiled by reaching out to Yelpers for their favorite dining spots, then ranking each by total number of submissions, ratings, reviews and geographic representation, among other factors.
