Florida man charged with selling moonshine; other Gulf Coast region news

A Washington County, Florida, man has been charged with selling "moonshine," according to the Panama City News Herald.

Paul Edward Daniels was arrested in rural Washington County. He was charged with sale or delivery of untaxed liquor, to wit moonshine, and possession of more than one gallon of moonshine. The arrest came after an investigation by agents with the Federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, and investigators with the Drug Task Forces in Washington and Jackson counties.

During the investigation, information indicated that Daniels regularly sold gallons of homemade “moonshine” alcohol, and agents purchased a gallon of “moonshine” from Daniels in Graceville, Florida.

Florida man accidentally shoots f: A 19-year-old Florida man accidentally shot himself with a .45-caliber handgun Wednesday evening, The Northwest Florida Daily News reports. The man shot himself in the left hand and left thigh, said Deputy Chief Brad Williams of the Florosa, Florida, Fire Department. He was conscious and alert at the scene. The man was taken to a local hospital where he was treated.
