ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. – Gideon’s Bakehouse, the shop known for its nearly half-pound cookies, has set a grand opening date for its new Disney Springs location.

The bakery will hold a grand opening celebration on Saturday, according to a post on its Facebook page.

To mark the occasion Gideon’s have a few goodies for those who visit during the celebration. Gideon’s will be giving out free commemorative 11x14 art prints of its Gargoyle and free 3x5 Gargoyle stickers, while supplies last. Also, for the first 250 transactions of the day, Gideon’s will give out free peanut butter buttercream dip.

There will also be five limited edition cookie flavors available, including Santa’s White Christmas, Coffee Cake Cookie, Chocolate Peanut Butter Swirl, Coffee Toffee Chocolate Chip and Frankenstein.

Gideon’s initially had a soft opening over the holidays and was met with long lines of people eager to try the sweet treats. But on January 2 the shop closed in preparation of its grand opening.

The Gideon’s Bakehouse location at Disney Springs reopened Thursday ahead of Saturday’s celebration. The shop is located just across from Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar. Gideon’s Bakehouse also has a location at the East End Market in Orlando.
