On the preview for the upcoming Jan 23 episode of Sister Wives, Robyn Brown reveals that her nanny exposed the family to coronavirus (COVID-19). Sister Wives fans can’t help but point out the obvious that having a nanny was a risk all along, despite the strict coronavirus rules put in place.

Robyn and Kody give the nanny’s COVID rules to the wives

In a discussion during the Dec 26 episode of Sister Wives, Christine Brown talks to Kody Brown about the family’s separation during the lockdown. She reveals that Robyn has been allowing a nanny to come over to her home to help care for her children. However, Christine’s children aren’t allowed to step foot in Robyn’s house.

Kody tells the cameras, “Robyn and I have an employee. We call her a nanny. She comes over, she helps with caring for the kids, and she helps with schooling the kids.”

She says, Christine says, “You have a nanny over. She’s over all of the time. I don’t understand why Ysabel can’t come over and hang out. She’s devastated.” Christine asks the cameras, “What does the nanny do?”

In response, Kody gathers a meeting of all of his wives to discuss the rules that the nanny follows. He tells them that if they follow the strict rules to prevent the spread of coronavirus, then they can all get together as a family.

Robyn reveals that her nanny exposes the Brown family to COVID

In the preview for the upcoming episode of Sister Wives, Robyn reveals that her nanny caught coronavirus. Robyn says, “I got a call from my childcare provider. She said that her husband and her were testing positive for COVID.”

Christine tells the cameras that she thinks this means that the family won’t be getting together anymore as a group. She says, “We’re done. We’re not gonna hang out again.”

‘Sister Wives’ fans point out the hypocrisy

Sister Wives fans were shocked that Robyn had a nanny in the first place, after Kody was keeping Robyn’s house so locked down from visitors.

One fan wrote on Reddit, “Kody and Robyn being a—holes to the whole family, bring in a nanny they don’t need, and end up being the ones who expose themselves to it… It’s totally karma.”

Another fan commented, “WHAT DOES THE NANNY…DO!? She gets Covid. That’s what she does.”

And another Redditor called it “Sweet, sweet poetic justice.” They wrote, “The ultimate poetic justice is that Kody and Robyn hate each other and have alienated any decent person who has ever been near them.”

Throughout season 16 of Sister Wives, the Browns have struggled over dealing with Kody’s strict coronavirus “protocol,” so it will be interesting to see how the nanny getting the virus will affect the family. Sister Wives airs Sundays on TLC and discovery+.
