GOLDEN CITY, Mo. -Kathryn Jane (Hassing) Wingert, age 89, of Golden City, passed away Aug. 18, 2019, at Good Shepherd Community Care in Lockwood, Missouri.

GOLDEN CITY, Mo. -Kathryn Jane (Hassing) Wingert, age 89, of Golden City, passed away Aug. 18, 2019, at Good Shepherd Community Care in Lockwood, Missouri.
Kathryn was born June 16, 1930, in Albert Lea, Minnesota, to Leo Joseph Hassing and Dorothy Mary Tennis. On June 22, 1948, Kathryn married Reginald C. Wingert in Albert Lea, Minnesota.
Kathryn was a homemaker and a devoted wife and mother. She also worked at Wyatt House in Golden City, until retirement.
Survivors include: four daughters, Mary Kathryn Conway (Pat), St. Joseph, Ruth Elaine Rice (Rick), Carthage, Missouri, Rita Jane Lehman (Tim), Erie, Kansas, and Charlotte Grace Scott (Bill), Golden City; along with eight sons, James Reginald Wingert, Lamar, Missouri, Edward Francis Wingert, Wescoville, Pennsylvania, Thomas Michael Wingert (Pam), Lamar, Missorui, Robert Joseph Wingert (Sharon), Golden City, Eugene George Wingert, Golden City, John William Wingert (Paula), Golden City, Charles Mark Wingert (Karen), Golden City, and Dennis Raymond Wingert (Lisa) of Lamar, Missouri;
She is also survived by: three sisters, Darlene Nelson, Albert Lea, Minnesota, Geraldine Parker, Quartzsite, Arizona, and Sharon Hout-Lowe, Columbus, Ohio; along with 31 grandchildren, and many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Preceding Kathryn in death were: her husband, Reginald Wingert; her parents, Leo and Dorothy Hassing; a sister, Marcella Herdina; a son-in-law, Richard W. Taft; and two daughters-in-law, Donna F. Wingert and Joyce Wingert.
Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 23, 2019, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Lamar with burial at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery.
Rosary will be held at 5 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 22, at Daniel Funeral Home, with visitation directly following from 5:30 to 7 p.m.
Contributions may be made toward the "Good Endings Room," made payable to Good Shepherd Community Care in care of Daniel Funeral Home.
