David Beston Shares Passion for Travel to Rocky Coastline of Maine

New York-based professional, David Beston provides a personal look at his love of traveling to the so-called Pine Tree State.

New York, NY - (NewMediaWire ) - November 16, 2020 - David Beston has long enjoyed a love of travel, both domestic and international. With the so-called Pine Tree State of Maine—and its rocky coastline, spruce islands, and fascinating maritime history—a favorite destination of the New Yorker and his family, David Beston offers a closer, personal look at his passion for travel to breathtaking New England.

“Although I’ve traveled extensively to destinations across the U.S. and as far astray as Asia, I’ve always remained passionate about visiting Maine, and spending time between its spruce islands and rocky coastline with my wife and our daughter,” reveals David Beston, speaking from his home in New York City.

David Beston’s beloved state of Maine is around 400 miles north of the family’s home in NYC. Bordered by New Hampshire to the west and the Atlantic Ocean to the southeast, Maine is then adjacent to the Canadian provinces of Quebec and New Brunswick to the northwest and northeast. “It’s also the easternmost state in the contiguous U.S.,” David points out, “and the northernmost state to lie east of the Great Lakes of Michigan, Superior, Erie, Huron, and Ontario.”

The Beston family has long enjoyed trips to Maine, drawn, David Beston says, by sights and attractions such as Mount Katahdin—Maine’s highest mountain at over 5,200 feet, and the centerpiece of Baxter State Park—and the state’s abundant candy-striped lighthouses, many of which pepper Maine’s stunning coastline. “Nestled between them are countless local lobster shacks,” adds David Beston, “as well as beautiful, sandy beaches, such as Old Orchard and Ogunquit.”

In addition to Mount Katahdin, Baxter State Park, and Maine’s eye-catching lighthouses and pristine beaches, further top attractions, David Beston reports, include the Farnsworth Art Museum in Rockland, the Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens and Boothbay Harbor, and the fascinating Maine Maritime Museum in the Sagadahoc County city of Bath, among many others.

David Beston and family have visited many of these, he says, but continue to return predominantly for the beautiful scenery, peaceful environment, and fresh air on offer across huge swathes of the sprawling East Coast state.

Further to his love of traveling to the Pine Tree State of Maine, David Beston has recently enjoyed periods of travel to Florida, Asia, and elsewhere. “Also, among my fondest memories from growing up is taking family vacations with my siblings and parents out West,” adds David.

Outside of his professional endeavors and his love of travel, David Beston is also passionate about cycling, film, and spending time with his wife and their daughter at the family’s New York City home.
