Baldwin Park hosts vaccine clinic

The city of Baldwin Park put on the clinic in partnership with Los Angeles County Supervisor Hilda L. Solis, Assemblywoman Blanca E. Rubio, D-West Covina, Los Angeles County Department of Public Health, El Proyecto del Barrio, and the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank.

Baldwin Park’s Arts and Recreation Center hosted a coronavirus vaccination clinic on Saturday, May 1.

The city of Baldwin Park put on the clinic in partnership with Los Angeles County Supervisor Hilda L. Solis, Assemblywoman Blanca E. Rubio, D-West Covina, Los Angeles County Department of Public Health, El Proyecto del Barrio, and the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank.

“Only 45.6% of residents in Baldwin Park have received their first dose of the vaccine, meaning our residents are still not fully protected,” shared Solis said in a media release. “As we look at the overall county average of 50% vaccination rate with the first dose, my office in partnership with local entities such as our Department of Public Health and El Proyecto del Barrio are committed to closing the gaps in vaccination rates.”
