Casual attire isn’t exactly at head turner at most tech companies, but when the richest man in the world shows up for a board meeting wearing pajamas, people might just take notice.

Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos did just that on Wednesday, posing in an Instagram post looking more like he was about to get a rundown on the state of Playboy magazine than the Seattle tech giant he founded. But Heff’s, er, Bezos’s navy ensemble with white piping suited him well considering the cause he was promoting.

September is Childhood Cancer Awareness month, and Amazon is doing its part to shed light. Just last week, a specially branded Prime Air jet was rolled out —along with some charitable donations — to drive that point home.

Bezos said in his post that Amazonians across the globe were showing their support Wednesday by wearing pajamas to work. He hashtagged it #PJammin — which sounds like a good way to get a lot of images of Pearl Jam and Eddie Vedder. But there are definitely workers in PJs at various Amazon locations following their boss’s lead.

Bezos even slipped out of his lucky Blue Origin cowboy boots and into some slippers for the meeting. But we’re curious why the space geek, who has admitted that he dreamed as a little boy of someday going to space — and is doing his part to get there — didn’t shop his own site for these far out jammies:
